Our Work for a Safer, Healthier Milwaukee

PeaceMKE is the public facing home of Milwaukee’s collective effort to build safety, healing, and wellbeing across our neighborhoods. It lifts and amplifies the work of partners who are part of the Violence Response Public Health and Safety Team, a multi sector team focused on reducing harm, supporting healing, and responding to community needs.

PeaceMKE exists to make this work visible, understandable, and accessible for everyone. It translates the shared mission of improving communication, identifying unmet needs, and coordinating a unified response into stories, tools, and engagement opportunities that reflect the people and communities we serve.

Our purpose is simple. Lift the people doing the work. Center community voice. Build trust. Amplify hope.

Through shared messaging, storytelling, community events, and clear information, PeaceMKE helps Milwaukee residents connect with the programs, partners, and resources working every day to prevent violence and strengthen community wellbeing. Outreach teams, clinicians, youth programs, first responders, neighborhood leaders, and many others contribute to this ongoing effort. PeaceMKE brings their work together in one place so the community can see the impact and be part of the movement.

Peace is not a single moment. It is a collective practice shaped by people, organizations, and neighborhoods across our city. PeaceMKE celebrates that shared work and invites everyone into the journey.
